About
Frying Pan News is a blog about the current economy and our collective efforts to create a new and better one. Monday-Friday you will find original content on politics, business, labor, jobs, the environment, culture – in other words, the economy and all the myriad areas of contemporary life that it touches.
Some posts are written by well-known writers, others by people who you don’t know but probably should. There is room in Frying Pan News for business leaders and workers, elected officials and philanthropists, journalists and celebrities, community advocates and labor leaders. We offer provocative commentary, break news and feature the unvarnished stories of real people.
The concept for Frying Pan News originated at the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy, but this is not a LAANE blog – it is a platform for those who share our belief that we can and must build an economy that works for all of us. We hope you’ll join the conversation.
(Please Note: Frying Pan News is a nonpartisan site that does not endorse candidates for elected office. Partisan comments posted in response to our articles will be taken down.)
