Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Fry Pan Review

Cuisinart, a prestigious brand in the world of home cooking, their best-known product is the food processor. It also produced many other products: kitchen tools and gadgets, cookware, bakeware, food processors, wine and compact refrigerators, and other kitchen appliances.

The Good

Made from the best materials and constructed sturdily, the MultiClad Pro fry pan guarantees optimal performance for many years. This unit can be used on stove-tops as well as induction cook-tops.

The Cuisinart MultiClad Pro fry pan can be cleaned up easily with hot water and soap and even the toughest stains can be removed easily with slight scrubbing. Plus, the surface is resistant to scratch marks and will retain its shine if used properly.

This premium piece of cookware from Cuisinart heats up in an instant thanks to its improved open design that offers a maximum cooking surface and provides ample space for rearranging food. Due to its superior heating conductivity, the heat gets evenly distributed throughout the pan while cooking which means that there are no hotspots that could cause uneven cooking. Its heat retention capabilities are also admirable, to a point that it is recommended to cook on medium heat.

It is equipped with a riveted handle which is more durable than spot-welded handles found on many fry pans. The handle has a specially designed thumb-rest for a better grip. It remains cool at all times and offers great control while cooking.

Due to the smart tapering edge on this pan, pouring cooked food is easy and spill-free. The rim helper handle that can be found on some MultiClad models is very handy, particularly on the heavier 12-inch model.

Cooking in the MultiClad Pro fry pan is also great for your health. Its cooking surface does not react to food, even when heated at high temperatures or when left in the pan for a long time.

This fry pan is also very reasonably priced starting at around $50.00 and offers all the benefits of other more expensive All-Clad models for a fraction of the price.

The Bad

One of the issues we had with the MultiClad Pro fry pan is that it does not come with a lid. A good lid seals the food’s juices and helps them retain their flavor. So finding a right-fitting lid could be difficult.

It has also been reported that some units may become warped after being used for long periods of time at high temperatures. This may cause the pan to wobble and may disturb the distribution of heat while cooking. This may also affect this pan’s performance on induction cook-tops. However, this drawback can be easily avoided by handling this unit properly and not overexposing it to heat, and very cold temperatures.

Our Verdict

All in all, the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro fry pan performs very well and is a great alternative to All-clad cookware. With this unit, you’ll be able to cook delicious meals in no time with spectacular results.

This unit is great for all kinds of cooking, may it be boiling, simmering sauces, sautéing vegetables and meat, grilling, shallow and deep frying, browning and searing fish.

A wide range of stainless steel, cast iron and non-stick All-Clad fry pans are available on the market, but most of them come with a very high price tag. Manufacturers such as Swiss Diamond and Calphalon all feature AllClad cookware, however, this offering by Cuisinart is one of the most affordable you can find on the market.
